Prodcut description:
Provides secure positioning of the tracheostomy tube. Superior fastener tabs are quickly and easily threaded through the flange of tracheostmy tube.
The Tracheostomy Tube Holders are designed to provide secure positioning and to minimize movement of the tracheostomy tube. Unnecessary movement of the trach tube can result in accidental dislodgement or displacement of the tube, tracheoesophageal fistula, tracheal stenosis, or airway granuloma.
Application Instructions:
1. Make sure the tracheostomy was inserted already.
2. Thread long, narrow fastener tabs through flanges on trach plate.
3. Bring tabs back over flange and ahhere to the neckband.
4. Secure fastener tab of short section to the long neckband section. Adjust for proper length or compression.
5. Trim excess material for proper length.
Caution:
Use in supervised care setting only.
Monitor to prevent unintentional disengagement.
Do not trim fastener hook tabs.
For single patient use.
Change the holder daily or more frequently as required. Change after patient bething.
Disposable. Do not wash.
